Be the Boss!

Today we continued to ready ourselves for our mock interviews.  We looked at 5 different types of questions that might arise (in one way or another) at our interview.

  1. Questions about you and your skills ex. Why should we hire you?
  2. Questions about your interest in the company ex. Why have you applied here?
  3. Questions about your commitment to the job. ex. Will you be going back to school in the fall?
  4. Questions about your ability to fulfill the job requirements. ex. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with -----.
  5. Can you work under time pressure?

Remember that you want to craft responses that declare your answers and provide an illustrative example for each response.

DUE NEXT CLASS:
Acting as the boss at the place you wish to work:
  1. List the top 5 skills you'd want the employee to have for this job.
  2. Create 5 questions, one of each type listed above, to ask the applicant/employee to discover whether they are right for the job
Please remember these are written from the perspective of the employer.
I will do a homework check at the start of next class.
Thank you.
