The Final Stretch!

Hello Planning classes!

This is a message to give you a sense of what is coming up and some dates of which to take note.

We have 8 classes left, if you can believe that.  We will be looking at financial education and considering what the true costs of post secondary are, how to budget, what it costs to move out of home, how banking/pay work, and how to grow your money or lose your money through the 'power' of compounding interest, or how to make or lose a million.  Interested?

There will be the following assignments for marks and the dates they are due:

• the cost of post secondary education - Due May 26/27
• 10%save/spending notes                    - Due June 12/13
• vocabulary test                 in class       - Due June 11/12
• leaving home major project               - Due June 10/11

We will spend a fair bit of time working on the final project during class time. It is a team effort and is research based. There are many elements to it and one must remain focussed to get it properly completed in time. That said, it is terrific preparation for just a few years from now when you are building your life independently of your parents/significant adults.
